- 50+ years old. In July 2006 I started a fitness regime to lower my cholesterol. I do strength training and bike riding. This worked as my weight went from 206 lbs to 170 lbs over a 6 month period. My cholesterol went from 260 to 198. I do not work for Motobecane, bikesdirect or any other bike company. I am an engineer at the local power company.
